Message from the President

With the 2023 outdoor Track and Field season in the books, we turn our attention to
recognizing those that have done an outstanding job during the 2022/2023 track and field
season. What better way to do that than with our annual Saskatchewan Athletics and Bob
Adams Foundation awards banquet, being held on Saturday, October 21 st , 2023, at the
World Trade Center at Prairieland Park beginning at 4:30pm. This is an opportunity to
socialize and recognize those athletes, coaches and officials that have all made positive
contribution to the sport of Track and Field this year.

Track and Field has a lot to celebrate in general as it seems to be a milestone year for a lot
of us involved in track. The Bob Adams Foundation is celebrating its 40 th Anniversary,
Riversdale Athletics Club celebrates its 60 th Anniversary, the Saskatoon Track & Field Club
is celebrating its 75 th Anniversary, in which Bob Adams was apart of, as well Bob Reindl
celebrates 30 years of service with Saskatchewan Athletics. One other big celebration will
take place in 2024 as Saskatchewan Athletics celebrates 50 years.

The length of service provided by these clubs, organizations and individuals, shows not only
the longevity that track and field has in our province, but the importance that track and field
has in our province. None of this would be possible without our coaches, our officials, our
volunteers and most importantly our athletes. THANK YOU to all of you who make a
difference in the sport of track and field and to those who tirelessly volunteer countless
hours in making sure track and field continues to thrive in our province.

As we celebrate this year’s accomplishments, we look forward to the upcoming year in
Track & Field. I hope that everyone continues to achieve their goals and excel both on
and off the track.  See you soon at a track meet near you.
